I planned, scheduled, implemented and evaluated a series of six parent-child community art workshops in Baltimore City. The goal of each workshop was to encourage a dialogue between parents and their children that resulted in an artwork which represented their discoveries. By bringing the community into the Center to create works of art, we also reinforced their pride and stewardship of their community. After the workshops we discovered through evaluation that participation in the community school. Volunteerism increased an average of 65%.
